Some of us recently ordered Hope’s new R4 lightset for this winter.
I gave mine a go last night.
I have been using a DX torch on my head and a Vision 2 on my bars. Last night I just used the R4 on my head.

MBR.co.uk are wanting to know what people’s favorite trail of 2011 is and voting is now open.
So far a few people have already voted for stainburn including the Pro Ride Guides and myself, putting Stainburn in 7th place at the moment. But we really could do with more votes to get us closer to the top of the list where we rightly belong.
So if you love stainburn and want to prove our local trail is the best vote here.

You know that moment when you realise you have started something you can’t hope to pull off. You’ve opened your big old gob and your bluff has been called! Well six months ago that was me.
Feeling pretty proud of the Descent Line Extension and the huge job of reinstating the flow to the top third, post Ed Oxleys Flow course and inspired by Si B’s run minus his broken chain I uttered the fatal words “ We should hold a Chainless event…”, “and a BBQ”. At this point everybody said “sounds good, get on with it”. And that’s when the cold sweats started…

Midlands trail builders Chase Trails needs votes in The National Lottery Awards 2011 FINAL. They are asking for people to vote for the Chase Trails Cycle Project by calling 0844 836 9721 or going online to http://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards/best-sport-project/141/. Public voting for the final starts at 9am on 2 September and ends at midday on 26 September. If you voted for us in the semi-final please vote for us again in the final.

We’ve been given the heads up from the good folks at Hamsterley Trailblazers about the upcoming consultation on the future of our forests. As most of you reading tis will be aware the consultation is being organised by The independant Panel set up by the government to advise them what to do with the forests.

IMBA have shown the guys and girls at Guisborough some real support where it counts by dipping into there pockets and providing a not inconsiderable £300 towards tools.
Trailbuilding has gained a real momentum up ay Gizzy thanks to SingletrAction and the hardworking MTB Guisborough crew. Tools, hardcore and graft = great, long lasting trails.
