Return of the Chainless Challenge – Postponed

It’s with great sadness but due to issues with red tape and insurance we will not be able to run this event as planned on Sunday the 15th April.

For everyone’s benefit we wanted to ensure the event was properly organised with appropriate permissions and provisions and it doesn’t look like we will be able to make that happen in with the timescales we have available and I didn’t want to cancel at the last minute. Continue reading

2012 AGM – 15th April

We’re having our Annual General Meeting at Dalby this year to see how well we have done in implementing the motions, ideas & proposals over the last year.

We’ve changed the usual format a little and will be holding the scheduled dig day in the morning starting at 10am. Once it gets to 1.30pm we’ll be starting the AGM down in the courtyard meeting room. People can then choose to carry on digging or come to the AGM and see what’s being going on. Continue reading

Roots Riding

I set up Roots Riding as a way to share the great riding we have on offer in North Leeds and The Dales. Over the last year I have been tweaking routes and skills courses, setting up websites and social media and of course putting in countless hours exploring trails on the bike. After all the hard work, I’m really excited about what I’ve got to offer fellow riders. Hopefully the new Uplift Day movie will showcase some of the great trails and good times that are had while out in the hills. Continue reading

Access 101

An informal event with riders, clubs and access experts for anyone
interested in protecting and enhancing access for Mountain Bikers.

We all know access is important but to most of us it is something for other people to worry about. But as individuals and groups we can do an awful lot to preserve access where we already have it, and to support initiatives where we want to improve access Continue reading

Pro Ride Guides Discount

While at Stif’s 2nd Birthday Knacker and I bumped into Pro Ride Guides,  Joe and Alex Raffery.

Business is going well for the guys and it seems quite a few SingletrAction members are going along on skills days.  But very few members seem to be using the 10% discount we get. Continue reading

Dalby Volunteer Meeting

Many of you will be aware that the trail building days in Dalby stalled for a while and have now virtually come to a grinding halt…

FC and Singletraction want to see about getting things back up and running.  So FC will be holding a meeting about Dalby’s cycle trails on Sunday, 19 February.  The meeting is scheduled to start at 10am and is being held in the courtyard community room at Dalby. Continue reading
